Specialties in Cancer, Ophthalmology, Cardiothoracic Surgery (with a dedicated 30 bedded critical care unit) and Renal Medicine (including a consistent case load of around 300 haemodialysis patients). We are a teaching Trust, which continues and strives to develop and deliver the highest quality clinical services.



Awards
In 2007 the Trust won the Health Service Journal's National Patient Safety Award for its nationally recognised achievements in the reduction of healthcare acquired infection. The Trust was also the Winner of the Winners and received the Secretary of State's Award for Excellence in Healthcare Management. In the same year the Trust also won the international Oxoid Infection Control award and the British Journal of Nursing Infection Control award.
