Clean-Trace™ ATP hygiene monitoring system - Completed

Clean-Trace™ ATP hygiene monitoring system product imageThe 3M™ Clean-Trace™ Hygiene Management System provides the ability to monitor, improve and control hospital hygiene and cleanliness. In doing so, the system helps to manage the risk of HCAI's, and improve the overall patient experience.

ATP hygiene monitoring is based on the measurement of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the energy molecule in all living cells. In addition to micro-organisms, the system detects organic residues left on surfaces after cleaning and/or sanitation. These organic residues provide micro-organisms with the nutrients required for growth. The Clean-Trace system therefore not only checks for the presence of organisms, but also determines whether conditions are present which would allow microbial growth.

The system is easy to use and provides rapid results, allowing decisions to be made in real time. Powerful data trending software allows analysis and trending of the results which, in addition to flexible reporting options, help satisfy both management and auditing requirements.
